Colin: Online Friend

Jason touched more lives than he ever knew on this earth. Whether it was through his writing, his art or his godly example, he made a real difference to people's lives and their walk with God. Rejoice that he feels nor more pain and is with his Father in heaven.

Sharon: Pittsburgh, PA - Online Friend

I wish I could've been there to see Jason's face the first time he got up from the wheelchair and was able to run into the arms of the Lord ..

I would've loved to have seen the amazement on his face as he ripped the respirator out and was able to take a full, deep breath without assistance .... and sing his lungs out with all the songs he always had in his head ...

I'm a little sad that I couldn't be there the first time he was able to raise his hands in worship to the Lord .....

Jason has left an indelible mark on our hearts and has changed so many lives .... may we live up to his standard

Joanne: Online Friend - Friend

I've had the privilege of knowing Jason through the Third Day boards and twitter and facebook. Despite his physical limitations, he was such and encourager and always had something funny to say. He had such a special hear for the disabled and had such great things to say about my son, who is also special needs.

I am amazed by what Jason was able to accomplish here on earth. He LIVED such a full life, I do rejoice in knowing that Jason is free in the arms of our Lord. What a party they must be having up there!

We will miss you here, dear friend, but we will see you on the other side!

shelli : Mesa, AZ - Sister-in-Law's Mother

Although I only met Jason one time, I have the privilige of being his broher's mother-in-law. Knowing the quality of human being he is, touches me beyond words. Reading about Jason's work and amazing talents -- his art, lyrics and love of Christianity, it such an inspiration to me. Most people who have no physical afflictions don't use any of God's gifts, but Jason with so many physical limitations, rose above all odds, used God's gifts and grew them into new talents. He proved you don't have to be physically strong to leave a mark on this world. I feel privileged to have met him, and blessed to be forever connected to Jason's family. God Bless as He brings you home....

Erica Fitzpatrick: Mesa, AZ - Sister-in-Law's Sister

I read through Jason's webpage last night and was forever touched by his words of wisdom and love for life. He was an amazing man. This world is a worse place without him, but heaven is a better place with him. I didn't know Jason, but his words have touched my life, Dave has touched my life. I love you both, and you are amazing for creating this memorial for him.

Thomas Mathie : Motherwell, Scotland - Twitter Friends

I only knew Jason through Twitter... and from his tweets I caught a glimpse of his love for his Lord and his love for life. He regularly inspired me & always said thanks when I retweeted a tweet I found particularly moving or useful.

I will miss him!

In the Salvation Army... we have a phrase when a follower of Jesus dies... we say "Promoted to Glory".

Today that is a fitting tribute for Jason... He is Promoted to Glory.

You will be missed... even over in Motherwell, Scotland.

Peter Anderson : Online Friend - Friend

My condolences go out to Jason's family. I only knew Jason a short time, but in that time I came to know him as a kind and caring spirit with a quick wit, and as someone who made a lot of friends easily. He was a talented writer, and because of that I hired him as a staff writer for my website. His writing on my site (mainly devotionals) touched a lot of people, and I still get emails to this day thanking me for his writing. Thank you Lord for our good friend Jason, and I praise you that he's up there with you now, no longer hindered by his earthly frame. He's up there with you dancing to some heavenly praise music, praising you.

I can hardly believe you're gone. It isn't quite real yet, though I imagine I will notice it acutely tomorrow, which of course is Follow Friday. You always had time and a kind word for me, and I will always be grateful.

Rocky Dede: Papua New Guinea - Internet Friend

Words fall short in expressing my thanks to you as a man who shined brightly for Jesus. You encouraged me and inspired me with the way you expressed yourself so well through wise and kind words, music, poetry, song and art. You poured out your life for others, and it has been such an honor that you considered me a friend. I will miss your insights and your delightful humor. You have enriched my life and drawn me closer to Jesus, the One who now holds you close.

Thank you for your friendship.
I'll see you later.

Jason-- you were and are such a gift from Jesus--from the moment we met back in January-- I praise Jesus for such an amazing connection. Illnesses never held either of us back--and we were able to relate--and lift each other up! You always had such inspiring stories-- and I praise God you stood so tall to share you amazing faith-- but loved our 8-10 hour visits--talking deep about life-about how Jesus REALLY has worked in out lives-you've had an amazing life-and I am ever so grateful I was able to share that with you!! Know our family will be thrilled to see you again one day!!! He more than worked thru you--- HE WAS FULLY ALIVE IN YOU--AND YOU SHOWED THAT--in ALL WAYS!! Give Jesus a Big hug--keep praising there for me to reach this goal line-- the way you did---FULL OF HIS LOVE AND GRACE!! In His Love, Heather Siebens---and family @AliveinMe

Melinda: Tennessee - Friend

Dear Mitchener family:
My heart aches for you right now and words are so hard to find.
While I've only known Jason a short time I can't imagine him being anything other than a source of inspiration all the days of his life. What an amazing man he was. How brightly his light did shine. There is no doubt that he'll never be forgotten and the impact of his life & ministry will continue on.
May the comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit minister powerfully in each on of your lives in the coming days.
Jason's book pointed out such a profound truth. We are all "just passing through." I look forward to seeing Jason in heaven and walking the streets of gold together in fellowship once again.
Until that time I'm grateful to call him friend and to continue to share his story with everyone I know.
Sincere blessings,
